*sees that heidi was here and cries cuz she missed her* .....I'll shoot for posting on the topic tomorrow, I'm exhausted from my day, but as for what she posted just above me, I agree with her...and any of you that think you can meet someone from the net and know all there is to know about them, you're misguiding yourself, you only know what people are willing to share or show you, and sometimes, even when you see it, its totally different once you take that face to face.....
and just as a btw, she ALWAYS gets the good fantasies, why is that? *big sigh*

K here's what i think though its nothing new. This can be a really good place to meet someone.. Meet as in.. get to know a lot about them.. i mean weed out the stupid ones and the freaks a little. But reallly i believe the relationship actually starts when you meet and are together r/t.
The safety thing doesn't bother me.. and I agree its kinda dumb to use the sensationalized stories that make it to the newpapers to predict how safe the internet is. Cus those are the only ones that make the newspapers. they're not gonna say "a girl met a guy from the internet and it didn't work out but they decided to be friends".
Basing your opinion on the news printed in newspapers is never a good idea.
Oh and chloe is very right.. there is a hell of a lot you dont see. And everyone thinks they are a great judge of people until they find out they're not.
I'm in a longwinded mood tonight..
need to get drunk.

Sometimes the best lessons are ones we learn on our own..and i aint gonna smack ya..ya dork..*L..yes..children are a scary thought..the one heidi mentioned earlier..i cant imagine an 11 year old girl ..being allowed access to the internet..without parents keeping a close eye on it..i know you cant watch them every second..but i think if you discuss the dangers with them..keep a close eye on things...maybe these kind of things wouldnt happen as often..but i could be wrong..as i have no kids of my own..but thats how i would handle it if i did..
